Our event on November 12th surely brought the chilly weather right along with it, but that didn’t stop us from having a GREAT time. It actually made for the perfect gathering of 150 beautiful moms in a cozy space to enjoy amazing food, wine and each other’s company. Thank you all so much for making the time (especially for getting a family member or babysitter to take over for a little bit) to come out and celebrate with us! It’s great to know that we are all in this crazy, awesome, and beautiful world of parenting TOGETHER. The greatest part of what we do is connecting local moms through the blog but actually meeting you in person was the icing on the cake!

Thank You To Our Wonderful Host and Sponsor: The Baton Rouge Gallery Center For Contemporary Art

We were so happy to have our event here. The staff at the Baton Rouge Gallery was very welcoming to our team.  The ambiance of the gallery speaks for itself. At every turn, there was beautiful artwork to appreciate and the lighting was just perfect for creating an inviting atmosphere. We also learned a lot about the great resources BREC provides through the gallery, so be sure to check them out.

Food, Wine and All Things Divine! : Thank You To Our Food and Beverage Sponsors

Having all of this amazing food and wine under one roof seemed like a DREAM! It was just what we needed to warm us up and enjoy great conversations. Against the backdrop of the lovely music by Joel and Amy Willson, moms made their way around to grab a glass of wine, water or sweet tea. At every turn, our moms were so pleased to encounter the most delicious food brought to us by some of the most unique culinary artisans of Baton Rouge.

We were graced with the wonderful musical talent of Joel and Amy Willson. Thank You To Our Local Moms

Ericka P.
Ericka is originally a New Orleans gal who was raised to begin many dishes with a roux. Since 2011, she has happily embraced the Red Stick life with her husband of seven years, Tyler. Although she met her husband at an LSU game after her car broke down, they both attended Northwestern State University where she graduated with a Business Administration degree. After graduation, she and Tyler took a leap of faith and tied the knot. She dabbled in the corporate scene but eventually returned to school to pursue her passion for teaching and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught at an inner-city school in Baton Rouge for 3 years where she gained a family of students and colleagues alike. She’s traded in her beloved Expo pens and clipboard to stay home with her sweet and adventurous one-year-old son, Cullen. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the sisterhood of fellow moms. Motherhood has been the best roller coaster she’s ever been on and even at the most challenging times, she tries to remember to embrace the chaos and “bless this mess” mentality. Ericka loves a good conversation, coffee, empowering other women {because we can all use a little encouragement}, laughing, baking and making memories with her family.
