Mom’s Guide to September {Baton Rouge Family-Friendly Events}

This month, we’re highlighting a great event from our sponsors at BREC, Summer’s End Night Hike & Campfire at Frenchtown Road Conservation Area happening on September 15. Program includes a night hike with a BREC naturalist learning about local ecology and nocturnal animals, and includes activities and games. End the night around a campfire roasting marshmallows and learning local folklore. Come enjoy this great way to get the family out in nature as the summer heat subsides. Children must be accompanied by an adult and able to complete a 2.5-mile hike in the dark without a light. Scout troops should email in advance of online registration to ensure spaces available. Purchase a ticket through the “ticket” button. No need to bring the ticket or receipt with you to the event. Registration deadline is 09/15/2017. For more information, call 225-388-3029, or visit [email protected].
