Omni Dallas Hotel: Sister Site Conference 2015

This past October, Red Stick Moms Blog was so excited to join forces with our 50+ sister sites who are all part of City Moms Blog Network for our annual Sister Site Conference 2015 at the gorgeous Omni Dallas Hotel. OmniDallasViewIt had been revealed that Dallas, Texas would be our destination for our gathering. It was the absolute icing on the cake to find out that we were being hosted at the fabulous Omni Dallas Hotel in the heart of downtown Dallas. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were treated with exceptional service from everyone. When you enter, you immediately feel a sense of of warmth … hospitality met with a little glam, if you will.

As moms, it’s rare that we travel without our families in tow so we knew this was going to be such a treat for us to experience. Upon settling into our room, we were met with luxurious and spacious accommodations with top of the line furnishings and appliances. The bed can best be described as a collection of soft, heavenly clouds. YES, it was that comfortable!

Now getting to one of the more impressive aspects other than our gorgeous city view … there was a TV in the bathroom mirror! What?! I could watch a morning show while taking my OmniRoomsweet time to get ready for the day?! The first morning we were there, some sister site owners chose a Pure Barre class on the front lawn while others chose coffee and sleeping in. Either way, the kids weren’t there and the Omni Dallas Hotel met all of our expectations and then some! Within the hotel there was a state of the art fitness center, pool and spa that could be used during our stay, as well as several amazing restaurant and bar selections that were available to guests. The banquet rooms were lovely and quite spacious, and we were treated to delicious food during our time there.

We also learned that if you’re staying with kids, upon check-in they receive a special bag of health and nutrition games as well as a few healthy snacks. During the first night of your stay with the kids, cookies and milk are delivered just for them, compliments of the hotel. I know my kids would love this!

If you’re looking for a wonderful location to host your next business meeting or for a fun weekend getaway {with or without kids} to see the sites of Dallas, seriously look no further. You must check out the Omni Dallas Hotel for your accommodations. We have nothing but positive things to say!

Ericka P.
Ericka is originally a New Orleans gal who was raised to begin many dishes with a roux. Since 2011, she has happily embraced the Red Stick life with her husband of seven years, Tyler. Although she met her husband at an LSU game after her car broke down, they both attended Northwestern State University where she graduated with a Business Administration degree. After graduation, she and Tyler took a leap of faith and tied the knot. She dabbled in the corporate scene but eventually returned to school to pursue her passion for teaching and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught at an inner-city school in Baton Rouge for 3 years where she gained a family of students and colleagues alike. She’s traded in her beloved Expo pens and clipboard to stay home with her sweet and adventurous one-year-old son, Cullen. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the sisterhood of fellow moms. Motherhood has been the best roller coaster she’s ever been on and even at the most challenging times, she tries to remember to embrace the chaos and “bless this mess” mentality. Ericka loves a good conversation, coffee, empowering other women {because we can all use a little encouragement}, laughing, baking and making memories with her family.
