Our fan favorite, ‘Pirates and Princesses,’ is back again for Free First Sunday on October 1, 2017! Free First Sunday is a program shared by several downtown Baton Rouge musuems that allows visitors to access the museums free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
The USS KIDD Veterans Museum will have free admission on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 10am-4pm for our monthly Free First Sunday event. As part of the fun, we encourage our visitors to come dressed as their favorite pirate or princess! Some of the festivities include arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and a meet and greet with real princesses.
We are pleased to announce that we have again partnered with Petite Princess Company to have appearances of real princesses throughout the day. A detailed schedule of princesses will be released closer to the date of the event.
Additionally, the USS KIDD Veterans Museum is proud to announce that we have partnered with Baton Rouge food trucks to encourage our visitors to support local, and enjoy local! Grab a bite to eat from a food truck and soak up the sun while you eat on the levee or enjoy some shade under our A-7E Corsair II.
