The eagle has finally landed in Baton Rouge! For years, I have personally recommended The Ruby Slipper Cafe to friends and family in the Big Easy as the go to family friendly staple to dine at for breakfast, brunch and lunch. In New Orleans, we have always enjoyed great service and delicious meals. When there was talk of the Ruby Slipper jazzing up the culinary scene here in Baton Rouge, we couldn’t help but throw our praise hands up with excitement! Breakfast is good anytime of the day but throw in some classic Louisiana twists and it’s a match made in heaven.
The new location is located in Acadian Village off of Perkins Road and S Acadian Thruway. Our team was treated to an array of menu items such as their tasty house Mimosa, savory Bacon Bloody Mary, Signature Benedicts (Chicken St. Charles … YUM), popular biscuits and Bananas Foster Pain Perdu. We cannot even begin to describe the amazingness that we experienced. Everything from beginning to end was delicious, and the kids especially were happy (this part is SUPER important because if the kids love it, it’s a win)! We all enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly service.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 7am-2pm Monday through Friday and until 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to check out The Ruby Slipper Cafe’s website here for their extensive menu and follow their Facebook page to keep up with the latest happenings!
