Learn More About Tennis at BREC
Looking for a new activity for your family? Let BREC teach your tyke to play tennis! Tennis is a lifetime sport that can engage the entire fam and this summer is the perfect time to get your kids started.
BREC tennis summer camps have been a Baton Rouge tradition for decades, and this year there’s more options than ever so you can pick the right fit for your family. And with five locations spread throughout East Baton Rouge Parish, there’s a BREC tennis camp that’s close to your house or the office.
Camps are offered for children ages 4-17 of all skill abilities. Got a newbie who needs to learn the basics? We’ll teach them to love tennis through interactive games that make learning fun. As children progress in their skills, counselors add in drills, advanced games and competitive play to instill a love for friendly competition and sportsmanship.
To make camps a great asset for parents, BREC tennis camps offer both full and half-day options. That way whether you need a full day of fun-filled activity while you’re at work or just a few hours kid free to run the errands, you can find a camp to suit your needs.
The flexibility doesn’t end there! Most BREC Tennis summer camps offer early drop-off and
late pick-up options for your convenience. So you don’t have to worry about rushing to and from to pick up your little tennis star! They’ll be safely enjoying extra activities with their tennis instructor and friends and be ready when you arrive.

As a new addition, BREC Tennis now also offers tennis splash camps! These unique camps offer campers the chance to cool off at BREC’s Liberty Lagoon water park after a morning of tennis play. For two hours, campers can make a splash on the water playground, surge through the water slides or cruise the lazy river after an exciting and productive morning on the courts. (And your kids are sure to return to you exhausted from a full day of exercise and sun!)
But if camps don’t fit your style, BREC Tennis also offers tennis academies and junior leagues in the evenings throughout the summer. These programs are designed for beginner, novice and intermediate players and teach through hands-on activities including rally ball format, round robin play, team drills and group games.
With so much to gain, why not give tennis a try?
